The Modern Revival

Inspiration

How it all started.

While growing up I was always consumed by the thousands of possibilities that came from scouring through consignment shops and thrift stores throughout the suburbs of my city.

I felt connected to the people who had previously worn these pieces that somehow ended up in my hands. I felt nostalgic for eras I never lived in and always sought out pieces that no one else would ever have the same of.

Since those highly developmental stages of my own personal style, I found my passion for combining vintage finds with the present and repurposing these pieces with a modern twist. And so with this The Modern Revival brings about the importance of the present with a flair of the past.

What I do

The Modern Revival was born from a love for secondhand stores and thrift shopping combined with a need to create and conceptualize.  By taking unique and worn in thrifted finds and converting them into a new article of clothing, I seek to provide not only numerous ways to wear and style them but also to preserve the quality and design of the original piece.

Utilizing a heat press, fabric paints, patchwork, embellishing, bleaching and distressing means each project is distinctly your own and represents you and your ideas.

Present Day

Currently, I work locally in the Miami area making custom orders for special events, parties, concerts, and festivals. When I started my business at sixteen years old, I exclusively sold on Etsy but once I got to college I had to limit business to local orders. I continue to create unique pieces for friends, family and businesses whenever needed and enjoy being able to tap into the creative opportunities that allow me to rework ideas and  develop my design abilities.
